Andrew Woodruff - Broker Owner.

J. Andrew Woodruff was born in Kalamazoo Michigan in 1967. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder, in 1992 with a degree in English Literature. He went to work for his father at E.M. Sergeant - a mechanical contracting and fuel company - an spent three years working in the field installing and servicing Heating and AC equipment until he could test for his licenses. The next five years were spent as VP of Operations.

Eight years in the construction industry taught Andrew how to deal with sub and general contractors and how to get the job done. Facilitation and negotiation were daily challenges and organization was key.

In 2002, Andrew spent 6 months exploring the real estate markets in Florida, California, Texas, and Vegas, trying to determine where he would become a broker. Denver's slow and steady appreciation, great climate, an vibrant economy proved to be the most attractive.

As a fully licensed broker, Andrew first went to work for Coldwell Banker, Cherry Creek where he stayed until 2007. After working for 3 other brokerages he decided to start Woodruff Real Estate and Development, LLC in late 2008.

In January of 2009 Andrew had a client contact him saying he was looking for a place to rent. Andrew called six different property managers with requests for information. He was never called back.

Woodruff Property Management, LLC was born two months later with the motto: "We Never Miss A Call." Interestingly, the biggest hurdle was deciding how to mesh a property management software program, a credit card payment system, a VOIP (internet based) phone system, an e-contract system (you can sign leases and other documents on-line) and a web-site. On April 1st, 2009 woodruffpropertymgmt.com went on-line. On June 25th, 2008 we opened our first office in Uptown.

Andrew is an avid traveler and has visited over 30 countries to date. He skis as often as possible and swims laps or rides his bike when not on the mountain. He reads voraciously and is constantly studying real estate and property management.

Pam Carlson originates from South Dakota and moved to Denver in 1985 to be closer to family and to enjoy the sunshine and beauty of Colorado. She began her career in real estate in 1995 as administrative assistant to a managing broker and quickly realized she enjoyed the excitement and challenges of the industry. After obtaining a Broker's license in 1996 she went to work with KB Homes in the sale of residential new construction. She earned the designation of New Home Sales Professional with the National Association of Home Builders(NAHB). During that time she also had the opportunity to assist home buyers in choosing their interior design options. "I feel I have a 'knack' for emphasizing the most desireable features in a home -- either for the owners' enjoyment or to enhance marketing". Pam moved into the resale sector of real estate when she joined Keller Williams Realty in 1999. She began developing a strong base of referral clients. "What I like most about the industry is helping clients find their new home. It can be a stressful process but my experience helps to create a comfort level and understanding throughout the transaction. Overall the real estate industry is quite rewarding and continues to allow me to help others".
